Welcome to Family Extensions Counselling, a private  online counselling and consulting  service in Ontario, Canada. In person services are available within the region of Durham. We provide compassionate and professional therapeutic services to  individuals, couples and families. Our goal is to help you navigate life's challenges and build stronger, healthier relationships. We are accepting new clients and look forward to helping you on your journey.

At Family Extensions Counselling, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for our clients, online  and in person.

If you are considering the online option, it might be helpful to know that online sessions are just as effective as  in person sessions. Our Telehealth platform is  fully PHIPPA compliant so you can access the session from a safe and convenient location, be it your home, office, or parked car.

Counselling for Youth and Families 

Adolescence is a period of growth and change but comes with stressors for the youth and family. 

We provide individual sessions for youth , and family sessions to  support youth and their families with challenges related to mental health, coping with school and social pressures, and interpersonal relationships. 

Wellness and Health

We offer individual sessions to promote healthy lifestyles and behaviours in youth  and to support them with their personal wellness goals.  

 

 

 

 

Counselling for  Adults

Personalized therapy for adults to address individual challenges such as interpersonal relationships anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, academic or social stressors , work related stress, loneliness, life transitions.

We provide a supportive space for personal growth.

Counselling for Couples 

For couples, we assist by helping to  strengthen your relationship and improve communication with our couples counselling services. 

Co-Parenting Counselling

We assist parents and caregivers with the co-parenting experience. and challenges related to separation/divorce. We will work jointly or individually with parents to develop child centred parenting skills and promote cooperative behaviours to support effective shared parenting plans.

Counselling for Men 

We assist men with strengthening their personal resources and supports to manage challenges that are unique to men. Some of the issues we have assisted with include:

-interpersonal relationships, fatherhood, co-parenting,  work/career and life balance, midlife transitions, developing effective coping skills, anger management, and family of origin issues.

Family Extensions Counselling has been serving the Greater Toronto Area for over 10 years. We are a team of registered and experienced social workers dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based counselling services. Collectively, we have provided therapeutic services in the health care sector, educational sector, mental health and social services sectors and are passionate about helping individuals and families thrive.
